1st Annual NKF Surf Festival.
The Jedidiah east coast crew recently spent the weekend in St Augustine, Florida for the 1st Annual National Kidney Foundation Surf Festival. The scene was a mix between an 80's re run from MTV Daytona Beach Spring Break and a family fun surf contest.
The waves were fun, but nothing compared to some of the beautiful mullets that can only be found in North Florida. Although he did not have a mullet, Jedidiah artist Patrick Maxcy, was on hand painting a beautiful mural. Patrick was joined by his lovely fiancé Jessica who helped us run the tent until she ate too much hummus and had to leave.
We also had Jacksonville music star and Jedidiah surf ambassadors Chris Hess and Brice joining us, too. Besides killing it during their free surfing sessions they helped us run the booth and hold down the tents during the monsoon rain and lightening storms.
Thanks to all of you that stopped by the tent to fill out the Community Questionnaire about music. We enjoyed meeting you and were intrigued by your stories. I think all of us were pretty surprised at just how diverse the responses were about music. From the groms that amp before they surf to those of you that have been helped through tough times, music plays a unique and diverse role in our lives.
For those that submitted a story please be sure to visit the Community page on the Jedidiah website to find out if your story makes the final cut as one of the top three stories. If you win, before you know it you become a legend. Your story will join the Hope Collection, which is a collection of t-shirts that raise money for an amazing list of Humanitarian causes.
