THE GABRIEL HOUSE

MISSION:  Gabriel House is a not-for-profit Christian residential home dedicated to the total care and rehabilitation of profoundly handicapped children and children with immune deficiency disorders. Gabriel House strives to extend hope and dignity to the children at no cost to their impoverished families.

HISTORY:  In 1995 Ted and Renie Faver saw that there was a desperate need to help the handicapped children of Mexico.  With little resources, they began rescuing the neglected handicapped children in the Ensenada area, taking only those who could not survive without help.  In its first year of existence, the Gabriel House grew from just two infants to six in Ted and Renie's home.  From then, their crew grew to twelve children and then to sixteen.  When the rain began to bring flooding, rodents and insects, they knew it was time for bigger and better facilities.  A generous man, in answer to prayer made possible to move to the current Gabriel House.

TODAY:   Today over 50 children call Gabriel House their home.  The organization currently has four rented homes.  Angels' wing cares for the children with immune deficiency disorders and the Gabriel House 2 cares for those children with Downes Syndrome.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: There are many ways that you can help support the Gabriel House, whether through donation or by visiting one of the locations.  Visit the Gabriel House website to discover ways to keep Gabriel House going.
